The Comfort Strapp was originally designed and patented through the creative efforts of Jim Coontz in his garage in Simi Valley, California.
In 1998, sole proprietor John Wleklinski acquired Comfort Strapp. Building on the creative foundation laid by Jim Coontz, John continues to grow both the Comfort Strapp business and its production from Atascadero, California -- located in the beautiful central coast region of the state.
